Telecom Network Architecture

Telecom Network consists of -

a. Radio access network - base stations containing baseband, radio units along-with antennas at masts

b. Transport network - connecting base stations back to the core network through wired or wireless connectivity

c. Core network - containing key nodes that takes care of registration, authentication, processing control and user plane information, policy implementation, mobility of users, connecting with outside network nodes etc.
